Initial Consult - New patient

Service Description

Initial Lactation Consultation*: Initial consultant usually last from 1-2 hours. During this visit, the lactation counselor/ consultant will gather full medical and breastfeeding history. As well as, a clinical breastfeeding assessment for each mom-baby couplet. Consultations include but not limited to breast exam, infant oral assessment, infant weight, latch and positioning assessment, breastfeeding management and problem solving, customized care plans, written report to baby’s pediatrician, and professional referrals as needed.
